CNBC Africa Announces Inaugural AI Summit in Johannesburg This August

CNBC Africa is set to host the continent’s first-ever AI Summit, a landmark gathering designed to explore the transformative power of artificial intelligence across Africa. Taking place on Wednesday, 13 August 2025, the full-day event will run from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Indaba Hotel in Fourways, situated in the Kgotla Conference Room. 

The AI summit will convene over 300 industry leaders, innovators, policymakers, and tech entrepreneurs for a dynamic lineup of panel discussions, keynote speeches, and live technology demonstrations. Participants are expected to address key topics such as AI’s role in driving business innovation, digital transformation, and economic growth across the African continent.

CNBC Africa has confirmed that prominent figures will be speaking at the summit, including Solly Malatsi, Minister in the Presidency. Malatsi is among more than 25 distinguished contributors representing government, business, and academia, who will steer conversations on AI advancements and policy frameworks for the region.
